The Global Citizenship Certificate Scholarship was established in 2017. It is awarded to high-achieving students in the Global Citizenship Certificate who are accepted to an FSU Global Exchange and have a documented financial need.

You must be accepted to an FSU Global Exchange program before applying for this scholarship.

Scholarships of up to $750 are awarded, with the number of awards and their amounts varying according to the semester and the applicant pool. 

Eligibility

Any prospective applicant should be sure that he or she meets the specified criteria before applying for a scholarship. Please be advised that meeting the criteria for a scholarship does not guarantee receipt of the scholarship.

• You must be enrolled in the Global Citizenship Certificate program.
• You must be accepted into a university-approved exchange program through FSU's Global Exchanges
• You must have a 3.0 GPA or above.
• You must be enrolled as an undergraduate student at Florida State University.

• Gather all the materials listed on the scholarship homepage including essay responses, EFC form, photo release, unofficial FSU transcript, and the most updated copy of your resume.

Application Dates and Deadlines

Students going on an FSU Global Exchange during the Spring semester can apply for a GCC Scholarship between October 1 and October 31 of the previous semester.

Students going an FSU Global Exchange during the Summer and/or Fall semesters can apply for a GCC Scholarship between February 15 and March 15 of the previous semester.
