Director's Welcome
Welcome to the Center for Global Engagement (CGE) and Florida State University. The CGE provides orientation, immigration advising, and ongoing support to over 2,400 international students on F & J Visas (including those completing Optional Practical Training following graduation) and family members, as well as to over 250 international scholars and faculty. We also offer all FSU students the opportunity to enroll in a 12 credit academic Global Citizenship Certificate, and/or participate in one of our 45 academic exchange programs in 20 countries. In addition, we provide a variety of educational and social programs open to the entire FSU community. Our signature social event is International Coffee Hour held every Friday 5:00 – 6:30 p.m. while classes are in session. We invite you to join us for this event and many others held throughout the year. We also invite you to regularly check the CGE website for upcoming programs and activities. Our dedicated staff of more than 20 professionals and about 40 student staff are here to help you succeed at Florida State University and make your stay a memorable one.
