Program Fee

  • $5,000 USD

Fee Includes

  • 12 Florida State University credits: 
    • 3 credits for FSU course taught on campus (either Managing Service Organizations or Intercultural Communication)
    • 6 credits for course taught by an FSU instructor while at Walt Disney World® Resort (Applied Intercultural Communication)
    • 3 credits for a six-month academic training experience at Walt Disney World® Resort (either Hospitality Management Internship or Intercultural Communication Internship)
  • All meals and residence hall accommodations during 10-day stay on FSU campus
  • Group pick-up from Tallahassee airport and transportation to Orlando from FSU
  • Local field trip, social, and cultural activities
  • Instructional materials for FSU courses
  • Ongoing support from FSU staff

Additional Expenses

  • Required compliant health insurance (link to compliant policy to be provided)
  • Round-trip airfare to the U.S. with arrival in Tallahassee (TLH)
  • J-1 student visa application fee and SEVIS fee
  • Disney program assessment fee 
  • Personal expenses

Eligibility

  • 18 years of age or older
  • In good academic standing
  • Strong conversational English abilities
  • Pursuing a degree program in an approved major at one of FSU’s designated international partner institutions (see “Program Overview”)
  • Enrolled in Winter/Spring term at home university or considered to be enrolled by home university during the program
  • Returning to home university to complete degree, and some of the program credits will count toward graduation requirements
  • Have not yet graduated and will not graduate before program end date
  • Meet at least the minimum English language test requirements on one of the following tests (including subscores):
    • TOEFL iBT: Minimum overall score of 61 and scores of at least 16 on the speaking section and at least 12 on the listening section
    • IELTS Academic: Minimum overall score of 5.5 and scores of at least 5.5 on both the speaking section and the listening section
    • Duolingo English Test: Minimum overall score of 100 and subscores of at least 100 in both speaking and listening
  • Nominated through home university’s internal application and interview process
  • Pass an oral interview with a Disney recruiter
