Bio

Dr. Elçin Haskollar is Faculty and Director of the Global Citizenship Certificate Program at Florida State University’s Center for Global Engagement. She is an award-winning higher education leader with extensive experience of teaching, directing and facilitating all aspects of international studies programs. She is known for her expertise on global learning and for enhancing internationalizing efforts in the campus community. As a leader in diversity and inclusion initiatives at FSU, she has provided intercultural training workshops to more than 3,000 faculty, staff, and graduate students. She is the recipient of multiple grants and honors, including the FSU Division of Student Affairs Mover and Shaker Award (2020), President’s Diversity and Inclusion Mini Grant (2020 and 2019) and the New Employee of the Year Award (2017). Dr. Haskollar earned both her Ph.D. and M.S. in Global Affairs from Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey. She received her M.A. in International Peace and Conflict Resolution from Arcadia University, and her B.A. in Political Science from Loyola University Chicago. She has presented at professional conferences and workshops in the United States, Canada, Argentina, China and Turkey.

Bio

Dr. Tanu Kohli Bagwe is Teaching Faculty at Florida State University’s Center for Global Engagement. She is an award-winning faculty member and higher education professional. Over the last 10 years she has specialized in teaching globally focused, interdisciplinary courses on globalization, international development, global migration, and intercultural communication. Her experience in public, R-1 institutions has given her the ability to leverage low cost yet effective strategies of active-learning, flipped classrooms, hybrid, and online learning for undergraduate classes. Dr. Kohli Bagwe is a recipient of multiple grants and honors including the Undergraduate Teaching Award (2020) for overall teaching, Student Mentor Award (2020) for research mentorship, and the Teaching Advancement Grant (2017) for course innovations. Dr. Kohli Bagwe further specializes in diversity and inclusion and effective teaching strategies for professional development of graduate students and faculty/staff. She has received or contributed to FSU Diversity & Inclusion Council’s Grant projects for years 2018-2020. Dr. Kohli Bagwe earned her Ph.D. and M.S. in Global Affairs from Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, after completing a Post-Graduate Diploma in Social Duties and Human Rights from Lucknow University and B.A. (Honors) in Economics from Delhi University, India.
