Engage Your World: There is Something About GESI: Deconstructing the Gender Equity & Social Inclusion Framework with Dr. Ramos Mattoussi
The Center for Global Engagement’s Engage Your World Speaker Series presents There is Something About GESI: Deconstructing the Gender Equity and Social Inclusion Framework with Dr. Ramos-Mattoussi on Wednesday, March 30, 5 - 6:30 p.m. on Zoom. Click below to register.
This presentation will focus on deconstructing accepted frameworks for Gender Equity and Social Inclusion (GESI) that the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) has integrated in the implementation of its projects.
Understanding that equity and inclusion challenges manifest differently in different countries and societies, the speaker will discuss how these efforts towards inclusion have been perceived, accepted, or rejected in diverse contexts.
Dr. Flavia Ramos-Mattoussi is a Senior Research Associate at FSU’s Learning Systems Institute and Associate Director of the Center for International Studies in Educational Research and Development (CISERD).
She is an international education and development professional with more than 30 years of experience in project design, and evaluation of education initiatives in multicultural, post-conflict and development settings.
