Meet the CGE Communications Student Team: Isabella & Malaika

The CGE welcomes two new student staff members to the Communications team: Isabella Saavedra and Malaika Hyder. Saavedra, CGE’s Communications Intern from the InternFSU Program, is currently a junior majoring in Human Resource Management with a love of all things outdoors and traveling. Last spring, she participated in a Global Exchange in Pavia, Italy, where she spent her free time drinking cappuccinos with friends or sightseeing the surrounding European countries. Saavedra is a participant in the Global Nole Program and is paired with an exchange student from Madrid’s IE University. As the Communications Intern, she will be taking photos at CGE events and updating the FSU Global Exchanges Instagram.

Malaika Hyder is CGE’s student assistant and a first-year information technology student from northern Pakistan. She first learned about Florida State University through a teacher in Pakistan and shared, “After researching my options, FSU quickly became my top choice, and once I received my offer, I knew I wanted to be here.”At CGE, Hyder supports both the Communications and Programs teams. While she enjoys watching films, her creativity truly shines behind the camera. She can often be found taking photos around The Globe for CGE’s social media and the Global Connections newsletter, as well as assisting with student outreach and content creation. Hyder looks forward to exploring her interests in digital literacy and digital media through her own projects and her work with CGE.
