Students Secure Golden Tickets at CGE Trivia Night

Alexandra Falvella, Nina Capoccia and Lauren Cavanagh were the winning team in the CGE Global Trivia Night on March 12th. This was the third annual Global Trivia Night on with six teams participating in a friendly competition and answering international trivia questions spanning culture, history, sports, food and more. Participants played for the coveted International Coffee Hour Golden Ticket, which grants each winning member a spot at the front of the check in line at International Coffee Hour and first access to second servings for an entire calendar year.

For Falvella, a history major, the event was a return to a favorite pastime. “I love trivia. Lauren and I went to the same high school and were actually on the same trivia competition team. During long drives home together, we also play a lot of trivia.” Cavanagh, a literature, media and culture major, shared that “My favorite round today was history. I'm a literature major, and that tends to intersect, so I get most excited about that. I would love to see an international literature round at future trivia nights.” Capoccia, an international affair major, noted that the global focus of the event aligns perfectly with her academic interests: “I love going to these globally related events because I love gaining knowledge about other cultures.”

For those who enjoy testing their international knowledge between Spring and Fall Trivia Nights, the CGE invites students to visit the CGE table at Market Wednesdays and spin the CGE trivia wheel for more global fun.
