CGE Welcomes Lacey Moret as Immigration Coordinator
Lacey Moret joins the CGE staff as an Immigration Coordinator with 6 years of experience in international education and 14 years of experience in higher education.
She is one of the first welcoming faces you see when you enter our International Student and Scholar Services suite. Lacey provides immigration-related services to F-1 and J-1 international students. She works with both CGE’s internal data management system, Sunapsis, and the U.S federal database, SEVIS.
Lacey first began working with international students in 2013 with the Center for Intensive English Studies (CIES) at FSU. CIES has been providing English language instruction for approximately 40 years to help international students succeed academically and socially.
“My deep love of international students started in 2013 when I began working at CIES. I can never thank Director Dr. Patrick Kennell enough for his faith in me and his mentorship,” Lacey said. “I love learning and appreciating other cultures, and I am forever grateful for those years I spent at CIES. I am now very excited to begin my journey at the Center for Global Engagement!”
Lacey just celebrated her 20th wedding anniversary with her husband Ross Moret, Teaching Faculty in the FSU Honor’s Program. They have two sons, Cameron and Andrew. She also enjoys traveling and has visited 26 countries and 49 states so far. She enjoys experiencing the sights, foods, and cultures of each new place and rarely repeats a trip in her quest to travel the globe.
