Attend the 26th Annual International Bazaar
Join us for the CGE's 26th Annual International Bazaar on Friday, March 19, from 5 to 7 p.m. on Zoom.
Celebrate our international community with performances and breakout room activities held by multicultural Registered Student Organizations!
Enjoy performances by AZIZA! Middle Eastern Music & Dance Ensemble, Bangladeshi Student Association, The Belly Dancers at Florida State, and the Hispanic Graduate Student Association.
Amit Kumar Nath, President of the Bangladeshi Student Association (BSA-FSU) and Computer Science Ph.D. Candidate, expressed his excitement to share and celebrate with our FSU community.
"The International Bazaar arranged by CGE is always a delightful event for BSA-FSU as we get a chance to familiarize ourselves with different cultures from across the world as well as showcase our traditions and heritage through our stall and cultural performances," Nath said. "Although this year the event is being held virtually, it still gives us a chance to celebrate the spirit of global friendship and enjoy amazing performances. This year our cultural performance consists of a Bengali folk song mashup and an instrumental rendition of a popular Bengali song. I hope everyone will enjoy our performances this year!"
In addition to performances, our community will be able to choose from several engaging breakout rooms with the German Club, Brazilian Student Association, and the Hispanic Graduate Student Association.
"The Hispanic Graduate Student Association is planning to play a game about Latin American countries. We will have an activity to show some culture, traditional food, and prominent places of Latin American countries," said Anairis de la Cruz Benito, HiGSA Alternate Secretary and doctoral student studying Mathematics Education. "Participants will play and try to guess which culture belongs to which country, which traditional food belongs to which country, and which place belongs to which country."
CGE Programs Coordinator Laura Dean encourages all students, faculty, and staff to join our virtual International Bazaar and connect.
"We find it so important to continue our tradition of celebrating FSU's international community even when we can't do so in person," Dean said. "Let's gather together online, learn from our participating multicultural student organizations, and connect across cultures!"
This year the International Bazaar is taking place during the CGE's normally scheduled Virtual International Coffee Hour, which happens every Friday from 5–6 p.m. on Zoom.
