Attend the 25th Annual International Bazaar Saturday, February 15

Please join us for the 25th Annual International Bazaar featuring cultures from around the world on Saturday, February 15, from 2–5 p.m. in FSU's Union Ballrooms.

Enjoy performances from more than 17 cultural groups, visit 30 table displays (6 community organizations and 24 FSU organizations), and sample a variety of international foods. There will also be a kids’ corner that will provide children with engaging activities to learn more about the world in which they live.

Attendees will enjoy a free sampling of the following global hors d’oeuvres, as well as a slice of cake in celebration of the bazaar’s 25th anniversary.

  • Samosa with cilantro chutney
  • Spinach yogurt dip with lavash
  • Chicken satay with peanut sauce (vegetarian option available)
  • Jus de bissap (hibiscus tea)

The Bangladeshi Student Association (BSA) is one of many groups that will perform and share their culture with attendees through a table display and interactive activities.

“The Bangladeshi Student Association will pay homage to our Mother Language Day (February 21) by singing songs that signify the glory of our native language, Bangla,” said Abdullah Aurko, President of BSA. “This will be followed by a group dance performance on songs that have adorned our culture for centuries. As always, our stall would have native Bengali delicacies for the public to enjoy, in addition to having eclectic activities such as designing henna tattoos for people who want them, and writing the names of the audience in our beloved Bangla language.”
