Eleven Florida State University students and two Center for Global Engagement staff attended the 14th annual Florida International Leadership Conference (FILC) at Camp Cloverleaf in Lake Placid, Florida from January 31 to February 2, 2020.

This annual conference brought together over 160 domestic and international students and staff from 18 different Florida colleges and universities to engage in a weekend of leadership learning activities.

FSU's Spring 2020 Outbound Global Exchanges Students

FSU’s Center for Global Engagement will co-host five Global Cafés in spring on select Fridays from 11:30 a.m. until food runs out in The Globe Dining Room.

Students, faculty, staff, and members of the Tallahassee community enjoy authentic international cuisine and music at this student-led fundraiser for just $10 per plate (cash or check only). Spring semester Global Café dates and co-hosts include the following.

Florida State University’s Center for Global Engagement welcomed 96 new international students from 36 countries to campus this spring. Forty-two undergraduate students, including 21 students transferring in from FSU's Republic of Panama Branch Campus, 23 master’s students and 20 doctoral students made up the majority of the new group.

This fall 20 FSU students were awarded the Global Citizenship Certificate (GCC) at a graduation ceremony on Wednesday, December 4, marking the beginning of their journey as life-long global citizens.

This fall, 47 international exchange students from 23 partner institutions in 11 countries and areas studied at FSU through the Global Exchanges program. During their time here they enjoyed experiencing student life at an American university, learning about other cultures represented on our diverse campus, as well as sharing their own cultures with FSU students.

President Thrasher welcomed students, faculty, and staff at the opening reception of FSU's International Education Month on Tuesday, November 5, celebrating the benefits of international education and exchange.

Kuldeep and Adila, FSU's two Global UGRAD-Pakistan students studying at FSU this fall, have spent this semester sharing their unique perspectives and culture with the FSU community while taking classes, exploring American culture, and serving the Tallahassee community.
