TN Worker Through NAFTA Treaty
TN Process
At Florida State University, the Center for Global Engagement provides information to departments regarding the TN nonimmigrant classification. If you are a Canadian or Mexican citizen and believe that you qualify for TN status, please discuss this option with your department. In some cases, the TN is a great alternative to H-1B or J-1 status. You can find general information on TN status, information on the process of obtaining TN status when arriving from outside the US, information on obtaining TN status through a change of status in the US, and information on TN extension in the links in the box on this page.
