Maximizing Students' Global Experiences
The Center for Global Engagement also provides two academic 1 credit hour courses aimed at helping students maximize their global experience. Whether students study, intern, volunteer or serve abroad, they benefit from a "wrap-around" model for their global engagement.
Theory and Practice for Global Engagement INR3931/COM950
The course is designed for students planning to engage abroad and to introduce the concepts, theories, functions and behaviors associated with intercultural communication before their global experience. Throughout the course students will increase global awareness and cultural adjustment skills, interpret their cultural identities and learn how to effectively use intercultural communication during their global experiences.
Offered Fall 2009, Fall 2010 and Spring 2011
Applying Your Global Experience INR3931/COM3950
