Global Exchanges Provide FSU Students with Cultural Enrichment Through International Study

Florida State University Global Exchanges offers students an immersive, international study experience while allowing them to earn FSU credits, pay FSU tuition and use financial aid. Students have the opportunity to choose from over 40 international universities where they can take classes for one or two semesters.

Catherine Tran, recent FSU graduate and marketing major, shared her experience as a student at Hanyang University in South Korea.

“One of the more unique things about exchanges is that you get to meet people from all different cultures,” said Tran. “I didn’t meet people just from Korea. I met people from Europe and other parts of Asia, so I got to learn about all of their cultures as well as the current culture of Korea.”

This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for students who are interested in developing cross-cultural communication skills and interacting with students from all over the world. Experience gained on these exchanges also count towards the Global Citizenship Certificate and Garnet and Gold Scholar Society.

The deadline for Summer, Fall, and Academic Year Global Exchanges is March 1. Attend an information session on Tuesdays at 3:30 p.m. or Wednesdays at 12:30 p.m. in The Globe, Room 2600, or visit the website to learn more: global.fsu.edu/exchanges.
